NEWSLETTER EXPRESS

Dear Friends,

It is now the beginning of November and much of our world is holding its breath as we get ready to bring in a new President.  I'm sure you are as tired of bad news as I am so I'm writing with as much good and exciting news as I possibly can for this, our inaugural newsletter.

I want to start by sharing some very exciting news for us at Trendsetter Yarns.  We have received news that our yarn “Kashmir” has been used by world famous author Nicky Epstein for the cover sweater of her new book “KNITTING ON TOP OF THE WORLD.”  Kashmir is a luxurious blend of 65% Cashmere and 35% Silk.  Both fibers are intimately blended together before the yarn is dyed so both will take on the same tone.  As Nicky will tell you and so will those of you who have already worked with Kashmir, this is truly luxury at its’ finest.  Nicky has also advised me that she will have two sweaters in Kashmir in her next book and has designed something for an issue of Vogue Knitting as well.  I can tell you that Fayla Reiss and I just designed a hot little number in Kashmir and Boa (Ostrich and Goose Down feathers) for Vogue as well.

In addition to the wonderful things that Nicky has been doing, we have really turned up the force of our Advertising.  We feel that it is important for you to see what it is that Trendsetter is all about.  For those of you who continue to make Trendsetter Yarns an important part of your inventory, we are truly grateful.  Below are some of the upcoming advertisements that we have prepared.  These are part of our new patterns series #37 but all of our wonderful books can be browsed on our website www.Trendsetteryarns.com/patterns.htm

As many of your are aware, I have had the honor of teaching knitting classes on cruise ships over the years.  What could be more fun than to be knitting on a beautiful ship with your friends, playing with yarn, watching the world go by and along the way run to the spa, eat lots of wonderful food and dance the night away.  It is truly perfection.  This upcoming year, I will be teaching on two cruises set up by stores that are wonderful Trendsetter Yarns customers.  One of them is coming up in February through the Caribbean with “Great Balls of Yarn” in Florida and then in April I will be sailing through the Mexican Riviera with “Concepts in Yarn” in California.  You can join me on either or both of these trips by reading about them on our website at www.Trendsetteryarns.com/events.htm.  I recently signed my contract as one of the first Knitting teachers on the Queen Mary 2 by Cunard.  I am working with Melissa, the owner of Craftcruises who put this whole trip together.  Attendees will meet in N.Y. at the beginning of July, visit some knitting stores and then sail out of N.Y. harbor past the Statue of Liberty and then cross the Atlantic Ocean for 6 days of knitting and luxury.  Once in England, we will stay in London for a few days to play.  This is the perfect time to be crossing the Atlantic.  This ship is the worlds largest and most luxurious and there will be lots for your significant others to do.  Melissa has worked a most incredible deal for this cruise. For more information, please click on the brochure below and you will be taken to her website for all of the information.  It would be a pleasure to knit with you on this journey.

I know I’ve thrown a lot of news out to you.  I hope you enjoy everything that we have presented to you.  Our inaugural gift is this pattern below.  I know most companies give you old patterns for free.  I want to present to you something that is brand new and I’m really excited over.  We have a new yarn for Spring called Cha Cha.  It is a wide ribbon with open boxes along one edge.  By knitting the top edge of the box only, one stitch to one stitch, the yarn creates a long ruffle.  The more rows you do, the more layer of ruffles you get.  It is sweet, it is girlie and it is a blast to knit.  I have knit many different yarns with Cha Cha but I’m giving my favorite one so far.  The scarf below is knit with Merino 8 in a Fan Stitch pattern.  The yarn is just arriving in our warehouse and none of the stores have seen it yet.  We are getting the word out there and there are some that are buying every color immediately.  The colors are incredible; Charcoal, Black, Wine, Plum, Denim, Ecru, Camel, Brown, Rust and Olive.  You can see the color card and yarn on our website at www.Trendsetteryarns.com/chachaspecs.asp.  We have Merino 8 to match each color.  This scarf is the perfect holiday gift for yourself or a loved one.

Enjoy.......
