Columnar post stitches morph into cables in this top-down raglan.  Fingering-weight Merino yarn is perfect for this piece.  It's light enough for a garment that isn't too bulky and makes for super-squishy cables.  YARN GGH Merino Soft..

Yarn:  10(11, 12, 12, 13) skeins GGH Merino Soft (100% extrafine Merino wool;  185 yards, 50 grams): shown in #72 saffron.

Finished Size: 38 (41.25, 44.5, 47.5, 50.75)" bust circumference.
Sample shown measures 38".

Hooks: Sizes F/5 (3.75 mm) and G/6 (4 mm).  Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: 20 sts and 10 rows = 4” in cable pattern with larger hook, blocked.
